Scenic Helicopter Flights
Pterodactyl Helicopters scenic helicopter tours and flights are conducted from three locations in the Ipswich area. There is one in the Ipswich CBD, and two Ipswich country helicopter landing sites.
Scenic helicopter flight tours include at least one ‘away’ landing, for wine tasting, breakfast, morning or afternoon coffee or tea, a picnic hamper lunch or a tasty meal, depending on the tour taken (meal prices quoted separately).
Scenic helicopter flights on the other hand have no ‘away’ landing, but still offer all the excitement of flying in a helicopter.
Each scenic flight takes in views of the Ipswich CBD and the beautiful country landscape in the Brisbane valley, Lockyer Valley and Scenic Rim. The Ipswich CBD scenic flight also takes in views of the Brisbane CBD.
Whether your scenic flight is taken in our Bell 47 helicopter or R44 Ravin helicopter, each helicopter offers outstanding sightseeing and great photo and video opportunities for every passenger. These scenic flights are an excellent way for visitors to Brisbane and locals alike who wish to experience what the Ipswich area has to offer but who have limited time available.

All prices include GST for the hire of the helicopter and pilot for up to 2 passengers in the Bell 47 or up to 3 passengers in the R44.
The R44 helicopter carries up to 3 passengers with a maximum single passenger weight of 130 kg and a total passenger weight of 250 kg.
The Bell 47 helicopter carries up to 2 passengers with a total passenger weight of 140 kg.
Passenger numbers on any scenic flight may have to be reduced due to the weight limitations of each helicopter.
