There are many excellent wineries dotted across greater Ipswich, the Scenic Rim, and Somerset Region of Queensland. Some of the best are hidden away and hard to find unless you know where to look. Why travel by car or coach – think helicopter!

GETTING THERE IS HALF THE FUN

We have hand-picked some of the region’s best boutique wineries to show you by helicopter. Our experienced pilots will fly you in comfort while you sit back in the helicopter, relax and enjoy breathtaking views matched by premium quality wines served by the region’s finest wine-makers. Lunch will be provided and you can select a bottle of wine from each winery to take home.

There are too many wineries to show you them all in one day so we built a few standard helicopter winery tours to choose from. Choose the helicopter tour that suits you, and off we go. Or, you can create something special that falls outside the standard helicopter tours – just ask and we will price it for you.

WESTERN HELICOPTER TOURS

3 Wineries Lunch at Ironbark Ridge

Normanby Wines, Paradine Wines, Ironbark Ridge with lunch at Ironbark Ridge and helicopter flights. Total helicopter tour time is four hours.

3 Wineries Lunch at Spicers Hidden Vale

Normanby Wines, Paradine Wines, Ironbark Ridge with lunch at Spicers Hidden Vale and helicopter flights. Total helicopter tour  time is five hours.

3 Wineries and a Mansion Tour lunch at Ironbark Ridge

Normanby Wines, Paradine Wines, Ironbark Ridge and a tour of Woodlands of Marburg with lunch at Ironbark Ridge and helicopter flights. Total helicopter tour time is about five hours.

4 Wineries and the Mansion Lunch at Kooroomba

Normanby Wines, Paradine Wines, Bunjurgen Estate, Kooroomba Vineyards plus the tour of Woodlands of Marburg with lunch at Kooroomba Vineyards and helicopter flights. Total helicopter tour time is six hours.

4 Wineries Lunch at Kooroomba

Normanby Wines, Paradine Wines, Bunjurgen Estate and Kooroomba Vineyards with lunch at Kooroomba Vineyards and helicopter flights. Total helicopter tour time is five hours.

EASTERN HELICOPTER TOURS

Eastern Helicopter Tours take in wineries on the eastern side of the Scenic Rim including Sirromet Wines, Albert River Wines and O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards. Lunch can be at any one of these wineries, it is up to you. Total helicopter tour time is four hours.

NORTHERN HELICOPTER TOURS

Northern Helicopter Tours are a work in progress; this tour will take in wineries around Dayboro including Ocean view winery, Woongooroo Estate with one other to be determined. Watch this space for future northern helicopter winery tours.

Prices

Prices are per passenger with a minimum of two and a maximum of three passengers per helicopter flight. Total passenger numbers are weight dependant – please phone to confirm or if unsure.

All prices include lunch, a bottle of wine per couple from each winery on the tour, helicopter flights, and GST.

Departures & Returns

For day helicopter winery tours, our standard pick up point is from the Ipswich helipad, Archerfield Aerodrome or from any of our standard accommodation venues. Other helicopter pickup points can be arranged if required.

Passengers staying at hotels in Ipswich (Country Comfort, Quest, Metro Ipswich International) will depart by helicopter from the Ipswich Helipad.

Passengers staying at country venues (Woodlands of Marburg, Spicers Hidden Vale and others) depart by helicopter from the venue’s helipad.

Helicopter Tour only Package Prices (per person min 2 people per flight)

Our R44 helicopter seats 3 passengers per flight. Each passenger seat is designed for a maximum weight of 130kg.

Pricing is per person with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 passengers per flight (weight dependant).

We can take up to 6 passengers or larger numbers if required please ring for pricing.
