Helicopter Wine Tours

There are many excellent wineries dotted across greater Ipswich, the Scenic Rim, and Somerset Region. Some of the best are hidden away and hard to find. But don’t think about travelling by car or coach – think helicopter.

GETTING THERE IS HALF THE FUN

We have hand-picked some of the region’s best boutique wineries to show you by helicopter. We’ll fly you in comfort from destination to destination while you sit back, relax and enjoy breath-taking views over several stunning vineyards and the delightful surrounding countryside, matched by premium quality wines served by the region’s finest wine-makers. We also visit Woodlands of Marburg for tour of the historic Mansion Built in 1896.

As there are too many wineries to show you them all in one day we have had to split them up into regional tours. Just choose the tour that suits you and off we go. If you must have something special, that falls outside the standard tours just ask and we will price it for you.

WESTERN TOURS

2 Wineries and the Mansion

This is where it all started. This tour takes in Woodlands of Marburg, Normanby Wines and Paradine Wines, flying through the spectacular Fassifern Valley. It takes about four hours.

4 Wineries and the Mansion

This tour includes the same venues as the 2 wineries and the Mansion plus the hidden delights of Bunjurgen Estate and Kooroomba Vineyards, south of Boonah. It takes about six hours.

4 Wineries

This tour includes the same wineries as the 4 wineries and the Mansion without the Mansion. It takes about five hours.

EASTERN TOURS

Eastern Tours take in wineries on the eastern side of the Scenic Rim including Sirromet Wines, Albert River Wines and O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards. Lunch can be at any one of these wineries, it is up to you. It takes about four hours.

NORTHERN TOURS

Northern Tours are a work in progress; this tour will take in wineries around Dayboro including Ocean view winery and 1 other to be determined. Watch this space.

Prices

Prices are per passenger with a minimum of two and a maximum of three passengers per flight. Total passengers numbers are weight dependant please phone to confirm.

All prices include lunch, a bottle of wine per couple from each winery on the tour and GST.

Please phone for accommodation package prices as these vary depending on the session.

Departures & Returns

For day tours, our standard pick up point is from the Ipswich helipad, Archerfield Aerodrome or from any of our standard accommodation venues. Other pickup points can be arranged if required.

Passengers staying at hotels in Ipswich (Country Comfort, Quest, Metro Ipswich International) will depart from the Ipswich Helipad.

Passengers staying at country venues (Woodlands of Marburg, Spicers Hidden Vale and others) depart from the venue’s helipad.

Our R44 Helicopter seats 3 passengers. Each passenger seat is designed for a maximum weight of 130kg.  

Pricing is per person with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 passengers per flight (weight dependant).
