Pterodactyl Helicopters runs a Bell 47 Helicopter, the best machine on the planet to experience the thrill of flying. We have just introduced a new Robinson R44 to our fleet. With this machine we can do longer flights and carry more passengers. This web site is currently being revamped to include the new tours we will be doing with the new helicopter.

The Willowbank Racing precinct hosts a number of race events including the Ipswich 300 V8's and Winter Nationals. If you want to miss all the traffic, take a flight into the event then at the end of the day watch all the other spectators crawl in traffic as you speed way at 240km/hour in our R44. Return Flights from central Ipswich are $195 and bookings are essential as there will be a limited number of flights on each day

The Ipswich cup is a special event in the local social calendar, you can make that special entrance by helicopter and take a bus back at the end of the day. Transfer (flight and bus package) is $85 and bookings are essential as there will be a limited number of flights on the day

Scenic Joy Flights

We conduct scenic joy flights on most Weekends and Public Holidays from 4 locations in the Marburg area located approximately half way between Brisbane and Toowoomba along the Warrego Highway only 15 minutes west of Ipswich. Our standard landing sites are, Warrego Wines, Woodlands of Marburg, The Australian Motorcycle Museum and The Sundowner Hotel. We also run flights from many country shows in the Ipswich, Somerset and Boonah regions. You can even include a ride as part of one of Hughies Wine/golf tours.

Even though it is best to book you can just go to the reception desk at the location of your choice and they will look after you. If you wish to fly at a specific time or place booking is essential to ensure your place, as we get very busy at times.
